I’ve blogged before, but I didn’t quite know how to start this time. I spent 2013 in Ladakh, spending most of my time on this wonderful campus just next to the Indus river. To say it was the *best* year of my life would be clichéd, but accurate. There are so many stories from my time in Ladakh, but for now, the photos can do the talking.
I opened my door and it looked like this.
I sent a lot of snail mail.
I climbed a mountain… ok a hill
and looked around in wonder.
I taught some future monks English… but mostly we just played games.
I made the *best* friends
When it got cold, we played ice hockey.
I went to Srinagar
And got fake married
The happy couple. I was *shy*.
I learnt how useful cold white walls could be
I saw a baby pray
I made some wishes
I saw some truly beautiful places
Someone gave me a flower.
And I fell in love with this cat.
It will always be my home.
